Duolingo App Lets You Certify Your English Proficiency

A popular free language learning platform Duolingo has launched a new app that allows iOS users to certify their English proficiency right on their iOS device.

“Every year, over 30 million job seekers and students around the world are forced to take a test to prove that they know English or other languages in order to apply for a job or school,” Duolingo notes. “Offline tests can require paying an entire month’s salary, traveling to a distant examination facility, and then waiting weeks in limbo for the results.”

Duolingo Test Center features safe government-issued ID verification, unique test generation, and remote proctoring, which employs a human proctor to verify each test taker’s identity and genuine participation by monitoring the device camera and microphone.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.1 or later, Duolingo Test Center is available now on the App Store for free.
