Duncan or Kobe?
The two most sought players of their generation, Power Forward Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs who just retired early July, and Shooting Guard Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers who also retired this past season are always the top 2 choices as to who is the best player of their generation.
But is there really a precise answer to this?
Guys, first of all, it is very hard to compare 2 players with different positions, especially if those positions really counter with each other, which is the best example for Duncan and Kobe, where Timmy is a big man manning the block and Kobe is a scorer in the high area. It is hard to compare the styles between these two because they are of different positions.
Kobe activates his fire inside with his immense scoring, and on the other hand, Tim activates his fire with genuine teammate leadership in a solemn but impactful way. They have different baselines to where they get their power to do their thing, the one a silent assassin while the other, too vocal, and too bold.
Kobe marched into a big market team while Tim stayed in a small market team.
A lot of differences can also be put into this argument, but the truth is, both of them are the best players in their generation.
