DTI Launches Sinulog Fiesta Fair 2020

The Department of Trade Industries Central Visayas (DTI)-7 together with the Cebu City Government and Sinulog Foundation Inc. launched the “Sinulog Fiesta Fair 2020” at the Atrium D of the SM City Cebu on Thursday, January 16.

Now on its 17th year, the annual activity aims to support and develop micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and its top quality and affordable products.

“Ang purpose gyud ani kay para matabangan nato atong mga gagmay pa nga mga negosyante (The purpose of this activity is to help small businessmen),” said Asteria Caberte, DTI-7 Regional Director.

The 10-day program (January 16 to January 26) features different stalls from business establishments in Cebu and it also provides a highly-populated commercial and shopping venue to showcase their respective products.

“Sa mga may maliliit na negosyo huwag kayong mag give up. Gusto natin gumawa ng mas maraming malalaking negosyante para sa susunod sila na naman yung tutulong sa mga maliliit na negosyante (For those entrepreneur who owns a small business, please don’t give up on your dreams. We wanted to have more big entrepreneurs so that they will be the one to help small entrepreneurs in the future),” said Demphna Du-Naga, DTI Assistant Secretary for Regional Operations Group.

There are a total of 49 exhibitors, 23 from the processed food sector which 4 of those are from the cacao and coffee sector, 16 from the gifts, toys and housewares sector and 10 from the wearables sector. (MLC)
