Meanwhile, during the quiz bee the blue team composed of the Protective Services Unit emerged as the champion. DSWD-7 Regional Director Ma. Evelyn Macapobre in her speech during the Monday convocation and opening activity underscored the strength of each unit and at the same time motivated the staff to do better especially in dealing with the clients.
“I might have hurt some of you with what I have said or through the memos I issued, I ask your forgiveness but I will not promise not to do it again because like a mother, I feel that I should call your attention,” she said.
“I cannot just let you continue making mistakes that would put not just you in danger but also the entire office,” Macapobre added.
Macapobre emphasized that she will not hesitate exercising her powers to protect the clients but is firm in saying that the office remains transparent in the delivery of its services.
Moreover, on February 7, DSWD-7 will hold ‘Laro ng Lahi’ that will feature pinoy traditional games using jolens, rubber band, Chinese garter and more.
