DSWD-7 Closes Its Listahanan Household Assessment
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VII closes its Listahanan second round of household assessment.
“Our enumerators are already done in gathering information from the field,” said Regional Director Mercedita Jabagat.
“We were able to assess 985,730 households or 97% out of the 1,016,269 target households in the region,” Jabagat added.
“We only achieved 97 percent against the given target because the target is big compared to the actual number of households,” Jabagat underscored.
“It can also be attributed to the absence of respondent when our enumerators conducted the house visit and probably because they were out or they had to attend to their livelihood,” Jabagat added.
Enumerators would revisit the household at least three times if there is no qualified and available respondent at the time of their visit.
“However, for those families who were not yet interviewed by our enumerators there will still be a chance for them to be assessed,” Jabagat emphasized.
During the validation and finalization phase, families who were not visited during the regular enumeration will be given the chance to appeal and to be assessed.
“We will ensure that there will be announcements of the validation phase in all barangays, so that everyone will be able to participate,” Jabagat stated.
The final list of Listahanan identified-poor families will be established after the validation process.
The DSWD through the Listahanan or the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) has undertaken a nationwide assessment to identify the families who will become potential beneficiaries from social protection programs and services of the national government such as the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
