Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) chief Secretary Rogelio L. Singson warned the public, particularly government contractors, against unscrupulous individuals using the agency and its key officials in fundraising and other fraudulent activities.

“We have not authorized any fundraising nor oblige private companies, construction firms or DPWH offices for donations or to buy raffle tickets for any such fundraising activity,” said Singson.

The public is warned of an on-going selling of raffle tickets or solicitations for Senior Citizens allegedly being sponsored by DPWH officials, particularly Secretary Singson.

“If there is an impostor making calls impersonating myself nor any DPWH official, then, please call the police immediately,” Singson stressed.

The DPHW chief prohibits solicitation by way of selling raffle tickets or sponsorship to any fundraising event in the DPWH including its regional and district engineering offices nationwide. (DPWH/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
