DOT’s Marketing Arm Receives ISO 9001:2008 Certification
Roughly a month after passing audit stages, the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) announced has finally received its ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality management system (QMS).
TPB is the official marketing arm of the Department of Tourism (DOT). To recall, the Board earlier announced that it has passed its Stage 1 Audit for ISO Certification on Dec. 8 and its Stage 2 Audit before Christmas day on Dec. 23.
“We officially received our ISO certification on February 16,” TPB Chief Operating Officer Domingo Ramon Enerio told the Philippines News Agency via text message.
“This affirms TPB’s adherence to a quality management system in the design, development and provision of Philippine tourism marketing and promotions services,” he added.
This certification was received under the Certification International Philippines (CIP).
Enerio welcomed the achievement noting that this goes with the Board’s visions to bear the standard for the highest quality of services “that inspire stakeholders and met customers’ expectations and needs.”
The ISO 9001:2008 certification means that the quality of the TPB’s standards are at par with international management systems.
Once certified, TPB will join other government offices that were conferred the ISO seal. (PNA) LGI/ANP
