DOLE Kicks Off Labor Day with Solidarity Run
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) kicks off the Labor Day celebration with a solidarity run on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
Contingents from different labor sectors including workers will participate in the fun that will start at 6:00 am. Contingents will then proceed to SM City Cebu car park.
After the solidarity run, a Zumba dance program will be held in SM City.
“Dapat may physical din, kasi masyado na silang puno sa trabaho. This time, ang pagpupugay natin sa kanila is through the zumba naman,” DOLE Regional Director Salome Siaton said.
A mass will be celebrated after the zumba program.
This years Labor Day celebration salutes the Filipino workers with the theme “Pagpupugay sa Manggagawang Pilipino”.
At 10 in the morning, the Department of Labor and Employment will also conduct a job fair at the SM City Cebu. (ASC)
