DOLE 7, Talisay City Set Up Kiosk for Job Hunters
Talisay City (PNA) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 7 and the Talisay City government have set up a Job Search Kiosk at the Talisay City Hall to make it easy for residents to apply for jobs.
Joel Gonzales, DOLE 7 assistant regional director, said this is the sixth such kiosk so far in Cebu Province.
Jobseekers in Talisay who will use the kiosk would no longer have to go to Cebu City and other areas to apply for work, Gonzales said.
He said jobseekers can use the machine to register and send application requirements to companies that have listed vacancies.
A Job Search Kiosk is an information portal housed in an ATM-type, stand-alone equipment, which provides information on local andoverseas job openings and other employment-related information.
It helps jobseekers by providing information on the hiring requirements of employers.
Then can also use it to search for programs offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and career guides provided by Dole’s Bureau of Local Employment (BLE).
Talisay City Mayor Johnny De los Reyes said Dole’s Job Search Kiosk will be of much help to job hunters in his city.
The Job Search Kiosks deployed in 24 sites nationwide will be maintained and operated by designated focal persons. (PNA) FFC/EB/EBP
