DOH Thanks Partner-Bakunators for 96% Coverage for Sabayang Patak Kontra Polio
The Department of Health (DOH) today extended its gratitude to its partner-bakunators who served in the Sabayang Patak Kontra Polio campaign in the areas of Metro Manila and Mindanao.
“We are grateful to our bakunators for their tireless effort in vaccinating children in their assigned areas. They went beyond the call of duty to reach every child, making sure that no one is left behind,” Health Secretary Francisco Duque III remarked.
The Health Chief was pleased with the high turn out of children vaccinated, and thanked all those who volunteered their time and energy in the vaccination campaign. The DOH recently reported a 96% coverage for the recently concluded round of the Sabayang Patak Kontra Polio in select sites across the country.
Among those who provided invaluable assistance for the success of Sabayang Patak Kontra Polio were medical societies, medical students’ organizations, non-government organizations, people’s organizations, faith-based organizations, academe, the business sector, and the DOH’s development partners.
The Sabayang Patak Kontra Polio will commence its final round for NCR and its second round for the whole of Mindanao on November 25, 2019. Third round for the whole of Mindanao will be on January 6, 2020.
“Let sustain the high vaccination coverage by continuously working together with our dedicated bakunators to stop the spread of the disease, and to save our children from the debilitating effects of polio,” the Health Chief urged.
