The city’s Department of Manpower Development and Placement or DMDP announced that they will hold an Employer’s Forum for the prospective partners of the City Government of Cebu for JobStart Philippines on November 5, 2015 Thursday.
The whole day activity will be conducted in a function room in the Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu located along Juan Luna Avenue in the North Reclamation Area this city.
In an interview with the BARUGG News, DMDP chief Ma. Suzanne Ardosa said, “The event is in line with the implementation of the JobStart program in Cebu City,” adding that it will be participated by the employers who are program-partners of the city in giving quality and effective employment services.
JobStart is a partnership initiative by the Philippine Department of Labor and Employment, Asian Development Bank, and the Government of Canada.
The program aims to assist young Filipinos with career development pathways by creating opportunities to improve their technical skills and develop the life skills necessary for success in today’s competitive workplace through partnership with employers.
