Dinagyang Foodfest To Feature Best Ilonggo Cuisine
Dinagyang revelers will surely satisfy their palate’s cravings for the best Ilonggo cuisine as these will be showcased in the Dinagyang Food Festival slated from January 21 to 24, 2016.
The food festival initiated by the Iloilo Hotel Resort and Restaurant Association (IHRRA) is considered an attraction of the Dinagyang festival. This is situated at Delgado Street, City Proper here.
Happy Abenir, IHRRA spokesperson, said that the association’s 35 members will present the best Ilonggo dishes and other Filipino foods to the public as part of the 25th year of their participation in the annual Dinagyang Festival.
She said that hotels and restaurants will offer their best menus including “inasal” or barbecued chicken, pork, catfish or “pantat”, batchoy, “sinugba nga isda”, and other Ilonggo dishes.
She also said the food festival shall be a good place for the family with additional forms of entertainment to attract customers such as the nightly live band music in a stage at the end of strip.
She added that the association is strictly observing the procedures in the conduct of the food festival.
IHRRA is also coordinating with the Iloilo City Police Office to ensure the safety and protection of the customers in the four-day food festival. (JCM/LTP/PIA-Iloilo)
