DILG7 to Launch Campaign Against Graft, Illegal Drugs

A mass campaign on citizens movement against corruption and illegal drugs will be launched on Wednesday, November 9, in an event dubbed “Mamamayang Ayaw sa Anomaliya, Mamamayang Ayaw sa Iligal na Droga” otherwise called as MASA MASID.

The undertaking is an initiative of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG-7) in support to the government’s zeal in promoting peace and order and good local governance.

The regional launching will start at 2:00 in the afternoon at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.

MASA MASID is a community-based program which aims to encourage communities to take a proactive stance in the government’s fight against corruption, illegal drugs and criminality.

The program adopts a mutli-sectoral and mass-based approach to ensure an effective crusade against illegal drugs and illegal drug-related crimes.

The program’s regional launching is a gathering of the Expandd Ugnayan ng Barangay at ng mga Simbahan-Technical Working Group (UBAS-TWGs), partner implementing agencies, CSOs, faith-based organizations, Liga ng mga Barangay Chapter Presidents, and MASA MASID Teams, the implementing arm of the program, from the different barangays in Cebu Province.
