DepEd Creates Drug-Free Workplace Committee
The Education Department has formed a drug-free workplace committee to strengthen its anti-illegal drugs programs.
The department said in a memorandum Thursday that the committee will oversee the following: formulation and implementation of anti-drug abuse policy; training and continuing education and awareness program for officers and employees; initiate and adopt value formation, family enhancement and other relevant programs; formulate and set the drug testing program for the department.
The department explained the creation of the committee will complement its existing National Drug Education Program.
The anti-drug program will cover the Central Office, Regional Offices, Schools Division Offices and schools.
The committee will be led by Undersecretary Alberto Muyot as its chairperson and Assistant Secretary Nepomuceno Malaluan as co-chaiperson. (PNA)BNB/JLD
