DepEd Cebu City Kicks-off Brigada Eskwela 2018

DepEd Cebu City started its annual Brigada Eskwela 2018 on May 28. Brigada Eskwela is a week-long event, from May 28 to June 2 with the theme “Pagkakaisa Para sa Handa, Ligtas at Matatag na Paaralan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan.”

Volunteers, Local Government Units, and teachers come hand-in-hand to rehabilitate their respective schools for the new school year 2017-2018. The event is also in preparation for the incoming problems that the school may face in the new school year.

Brigada Eskwela 2018 is a joint effort of the school, Local Government Unit, and the community to prepare and improve the condition of schools and make schools a suitable place for learning.

General Santos City hosts the national kick-off of the Brigada Eskwela.

Brigada Eskwela 2018 or also known as “National Schools Maintenance Week” is held every last week of May. (Aljun Cainghog)
