DENR Offers Free Survey for Untitled Alienable, Disposable Lots

Individuals with untitled alienable and disposable lots are encouraged to avail of the free survey for residential and agricultural lots by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-7).

In this week’s Kapihan sa PIA Cebu, Engr. Leonisita Semblante, head of the Philippine Reference System of 1992 and Monitoring Surveys and Mapping Division, said they are still far from this year’s target of extending free subdivision of residential and agricultural lots.

“For agricultural, we have a target of 1, 248 lots and for residential we have 1246 lots, so far only 741 lot owners have availed,” Semblante said.

The free subdivision and apprroval of subdivision plans is a program of DENR to speed up land titling in the Region.

A lot survey usually costs P7,000-P10,000, a major requirement for titling.

Semblante clarified that this only extends to lots which were not initially titled and have no encumbrances.

“An example is one big lot with a tax declaration owned by the parent, now they have to have it subdivided for three children, our office can survey these lots for free,” Semblante said.

Their priority areas are Cebu and Bohol since Negros has a separate team to handle the surveys.

Next week, the team will be in the Municipalities of Candijay and Guindulman in Bohol, while in Cebu they will be in Barangay Nangka, Consolacion, and Cordova town.

Those interested can approach the City or Municipal Assessor’s Office and ask for instructions or go to their office directly.

The free subdivision survey program may be availed and acquired by natural born Filipino citizens.

Requirements include tax declaration of land, barangay clearance, court clearance, deed of sale and or extra judicial partition. (fcc/PIA7-Cebu)
