DENR 7 Speeds Up Cadastral Survey
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-7) is speeding up the land titling for lots in 106 barangays all over the region.
This is happening in view of the directive issued by DENR Sec. Ramon Paje, obliging all regional offices to complete the cadastral survey by next month. DENR-7 Regional Executive Director Isabelo Montejo said 19 of these 106 barangays are from Cebu, while 90 are from Bohol.
Montejo said field officials were already tasked to oversee the cadastral survey within their respective areas to ensure the entire process is done before the deadline. The cadastral survey, he said, supports the government’s projects such as land titling, taxation, land use planning, and internal revenue allotment (IRA) which benefits the local government units.
Cadastral survey is done to determine the boundaries of lots of a certain area for systematic land adjudication and IRA purposes.
“The program has been seriously undertaken as it is instrumental in efficient patent distribution as it provides better data thus accelerating countryside development,” Montejo said.
