Denise Capuyan Crowns as Miss Consolacion 2019

Denise Gabrielle Capuyan from Barangay Nangka was crowned as Miss Consolacion 2019 at the Consolacion Municipal Covered Court on Saturday, October 26.

Capuyan was also hailed as Miss Photogenic, Best in Talent, Best in Swimsuit, Best in Fun Wear and Best in Evening Gown.

The said pageant is one of the activities in preparation for the town’s fiesta in honor of Senior San Narciso.

During an interview with the media, Consolacion Mayor Joannes Alegado revealed the preparations they made to make the pageant a promising one.

“Our preparation started months ago and actually the Miss Consolacion beauty pageant is chaired by Dr. Angelica  Alegado and our pageant director is none other than Mr. Val Sandiego. The ladies were actually screened last August so there were 40 applicants and we got 12 out of the 40,” Alegado said.

The mayor also said that the 12 candidates were also engaged in personality development workshops and they practice almost every weekend.

Part of the preparations was also extemporaneous speaking, essay writing, talent and swimsuit competitions.

Mayor Alegado said that winning the pageant also comes with great responsibility.

“Actually the winner will be the messenger of our advocacies to the entire town. We expect her to be present in all of the government’s project,” Alegado said

The mayor added that Miss Consolacion should also focus on women empowerment and environmental campaigns like coastal clean-ups.

Capuyan received a crown, plaque, sash and bouquet, P25,000 worth of cash, P4,000 worth of gift certificate from SM City Consolacion, gift certificate and a year product model contract courtesy of Cruz Skin Clinic, gift certificate from Anjo World,  3 months membership in Battleground gym and a new cellphone unit courtesy of Sun Cellular.

Miss Consolacion 2018 Shara Angela Servande turned over the crown to Miss Consolacion 2019 Denise Gabrielle Capuyan.
