The Del Monte Foundation, Inc. (DMFI) in partnership with the Coalition for Better Education (CBE), aims to train more teachers to equip students with better education quality when classes open on August 24, 2020.

DMFI is a non-profit organization that spearheads Del Monte Philippines’ efforts on the development of different communities.

21 public elementary school teachers were sponsored by DMFI to participate in CBE’s “Best teacher Series: Smart Ways to Teach from Home” online training.

Another 7 teachers from Del Monte School, a private elementary school, will also be sponsored by Del Monte Philippines Inc. (DPMI) for online training.

The goal of the said program is to make teachers more efficient in conducting classes especially in remote areas in the upcoming school year.

Different courses will be included in the program:

1.) Going Beyond Remote Teaching. A course on various online applications that can be used in a blended learning class (for teachers)

2.) Using Projects to Teach Remotely. A deep-dive course on developing modules for remote learning using projects (for teachers)

3.) Assessing your Remote Learning Program. A course on monitoring and evaluating remote learning programs in schools using the 360 degree technique for school heads.

CBE is an active partner of the Department of Education (DepED) in the implementation of the Learning Continuity Plan (LCP). (MLC)
