Death Toll in Istanbul Airport Attack Grows to 41, 239 Wounded
Ankara (PNA/TASS) — The death toll in terrorist attack at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport has reached 41 and another 239 people have been injured, the city governor’s office said in a statement on Wednesday.
“A total of 37 people have been identified. Among them are 10 foreigners and three people with dual citizenship,” the authorities said.
Some 109 people have been discharged from hospitals and 130 others continue undergoing treatment, the statement said.
Three suicide bombers blew themselves up late on Tuesday at the international terminal of Istanbul’s Ataturk airport. Turkey’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim who visited the blasts scene said the terrorist attack could have been carried out by the members of the Islamic State group. (PNA/TASS) RMA/RSM
