Davide Won’t Fire CSBT Chief
Despite alleged sexual harassment, Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III said he will not terminate Vicente Dejoras Jr. from his post as Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) administrator.
“He will remain sa CSBT. The Ombudsman is already doing their investigation, let’s wait for whatever action they will take,” said Davide.
The governor also hinted that he doubts the credibility of the complainant as this was the same person who filed a petition against Dejoras last year asking for his removal from office allegedly because of maltreatment to vendors, drivers, stallholders and workers at the said bus terminal.
Davide said the petition paper was reportedly signed by the people there without their knowing what it was really for.
This time, allegedly the woman-complainant told Dejoras that she would drop the case if she would renew her contract, told Davide. The complainant used to be a stallholder at the CSBT until the Capitol had ordered her to vacate her stall after her contract had expired last month.
The woman, however, insisted that the Capitol should renew her contract as she has no past dues since she started selling at the said terminal in 2008.
