Davide Transfers to New Office
Cebu Provincial Governor Hilario Davide III on Monday transferred to his newly renovated office located at the west wing of the Capitol building.
The cost of renovation for his new office has reached to almost P1 million which was deducted from the provincial governor’s budget.
The governor spent his first five months in the old session hall after his election as head of the province last May 2013. His new office is said to be his original choice after his election.
The new office has a combination of both old and new furniture. The color of the office is earth- inspired , a design which was introduced by the governor’s high school friend who is now an architect.
Most of the newly acquired furniture are chosen by the governor’s wife.
However, the governor is waiting for the newly designed furniture that would add an ambiance of his office.
Old office furniture include the governor’s table and chair, four cabinets which location is one on the left side of governor’s table with his family picture on top, two cabinets are placed on the opposite side of the governor’s table, which each display a total of 21 governor’s plaques , and the other cabinet is located on the right side of the governor’s table.
Old chandeliers are also part of decors inside and outside the governor’s office.
The Governor’s spokesperson, Ethel Nadera, said the budget for the renovation is P738, 678.63, adding that said cost was derived from the Provincial Governor’s Office own budget.
