Davide Relieves Acting Head of SWDO

Because of alleged irregularities in the procurement of sardines for Yolanda victims, Gov. Hilario Davide III on Wednesday relieved acting Social Welfare and Development Office (SWDO) head Evelyn Senajon from the post.

“She deviated from procedure, ni-drecho og tawag og supplier for the sardines procurement. Part man unta siya sa BAC,” said Davide.

Davide said while they are still looking for a replacement, provincial administrator Mark Tolentino will sit as acting SWDO chief. He, however, clarified that there was nothing anomalous in Senajon’s actuation but added that she should have followed the proper procedures.

“Any department head, even OICs, if kita ta there’s a need for improvement, ilisan sila,” Davide warned.

Senajon will assume her old post, Nutrition Officer III in the same department.
