Davide Not in Favor for Same-sex Marriage
Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III yesterday admitted that he is against same-sex marriage.
“I’m against it. I’m a catholic. I grew up not in a very deeply religious family but kabaw ko unsay sala’ or sakto,” said the governor.
Davide said he believes in what the Bible says that a man should only be with a woman “for procreation.”
“How can two persons of the same sex bear children?” he asked.
Earlier, Davide said he is against the death penalty, as was proposed by some groups to stop heinous crimes in the country.
