Dalaygon ang Paghukom sa Korte Suprema Batok sa BIR
This is probably the best thing the Supreme Court has done to protect the citizens, particularly the lawyers who have been bullied by the BIR in their money-making scheme to squeeze them dry out of their earnings from the professional services they collect from their clients. Good for them because they know how to argue their case in the SC. What about Manny Pacquiao?
He is the source of our national pride for putting the name of our country in the world map for his awesome exploits in world boxing. And yet the BIR seemed not happy about it and instead ignored his awesome feat of winning a fight against Bradley by a statement coming from Kim Henares of BIR announcing that Pacquiao now has more than P2B tax deficiency.
Footnote: This comment came out in connection with a Philstar news headline, “SC stops BIR drive vs. doctors, lawyers.” The SC issued a TRO against the BIR stopping it from implementing its Regulation No. 4-2014, which requires self-employed professionals to submit affidavits indicating their rates and register their official appointment books.
The order is effective immediately and until further orders from the court. The SC granted the immediate relief sought with the petition filed by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) this month.
