DA Dasig sa Pagpalambo sa Panguma, Panagat

Gipadasig ni Agriculture Secretary Prospero Alcala ang mga scientist ug tigpanuki-duki sa paghimo og pagtuon tumong sa pagpauswag sa panginabuhi sa mga mag-uuma, ug mananagat kinsa maoy angay mopahimus sa ilang mga trabahong teknikal.

Usa kini sa gimando ni Alcala ngadto sa matag rehiyon, ilabi na sa rehiyonal nga buhatan sa Department of Agriculture sa Central Visayas (DA)7 nga nagbase sa Mandaue City, Cebu.

Gipadasig niya ang mga mananaog nga angay dayon nga pasuwayan ang ilang mga diskobre sa maong panuki-duki sa mga mag-uuma ug mananagat.

Matud pa ni Alcala nga walay kapuslanan ang maong panuki-duki kun dili sulayan sa mga sektor sa mag-uuma ug mananagat.

Sukad molingkod si Alcala sa iyang katungdanan isip kalihim sa agrikultura, padayon nga gipauswagan niini matag tuig ang gahin alang sa research and development (R&D), gikan sa P200 milyones sa 2010, ngadto na sa usa ka bilyon ka pesos niining tuiga, 2014, ug sa 2015 mokabat sa P1.3 bilyones ang gigahin alang niini.

Ang Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (DA-PHilMech) nakadawat usab og Gold AFMA Best R&D Paper Award sa Socio- Economics research alang sa paper “Corn Post production Modules for Farmer-based Agribusiness Enterprises” ug Gold Award ang nadawat sa Applied Research TG/IG Agriculture for “Optimization of Parboiling Conditions of Local Rice Varieties”.

Ang Philippine Rice Research Institute (DA-PhilRice) nahatagan og ganti alang sa pagtuon niini sa Applied Research TG/IG Agriculture nga giulohan “Development and Evaluation of Functional Beverage uban sa Germinated Brown Rice nga maoy unang Base Ingredient,” “Development of In Vitro Technique for Micropropagation of Nipa Palm (Nypa fruticans Wurmb., Arecaceae) from Embryo,” ug “Development of Rice Varieties for High-temperature Tolerance in the Philippines” (Southern Cagayan Research Center, Iguig, Cagayan).

Ang Baguio National Crops Research and Development Center – Bureau of Plant Industry makadawat og ganti sa ilang research bahin sa “Trichoderma-based Management of Soil-borne Pathogens of Potato and Strawberry in the Highlands,” ug ang DA-Regional Crop Protection Center in Bangcud, Malaybalay City sa ilang “Trichogramma japonicum Ashmead as Biological Control Agent of Rice Leaf Folder (Cnaphalocrosis medinales, Guenee).

Ang DA-Regional Office 01 and Ilocos Integrated Agricultural Research Center nakadawat og Silver Award ubos sa Development Research-Agriculture category sa “Community-based Participatory Action Research: An Effective Strategy in the Development of Rural Communities in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte.” Siyam gikan sa 17 ka mga mananaog gikan sa University of the Philippines – Los Banos, Central Mindanao University, University of the Philippines – Visayas, Isabela State University, Cagayan State University, Central Luzon State University, and Cavite State University.
