CSC: No Extension For Deadline of Civil Service Exams
The Civil Service Commission (CSC)7 last Friday emphatically said that no more extension is given to the deadline set for the filing of applications for the May 2015 graduates and undergraduates Career Service Examination.
CSC 7 chief public assistance division Proline Daclan made this clarification following some inquiries referring to the deadline earlier set for the filing of applications for said examinations.
She said the March 12, 2015 deadline set by CSC for the May 3, 2015 examinations was final and no more adjustment.
Daclan noted the bulk of filers swamping at the CSC7 regional office last March 12, 2015 to bit the deadline.
However, she said there were some late filers who came to their office the following day, asking if they will be given consideration.
“We are so sorry to say there will be no more extension to the set deadline,” Daclan said.
Daclan said the Career Service Examination, Paper-and-Pencil-Test (CSE-PPT) for SubProfessional and Professional levels ,is a general ability test designed to measure an individual’s preparedness to enter government service.
She said passing the CSE entitles one to either a Professional or Sub-Professional career service eligibility, which is one of the basic requirements for permanent appointment to career positions in government, except for positions that involve the practice of profession or are covered by special laws.
According to Daclan, the CSE-PPT for Professional and SubProfessional levels are open to Filipino citizens who are at least 18 years old at the time of filing of application, regardless of educational attainment.
Daclan also clarified that an individual may continuously take the exams regardless of the number of times failed, provided that the examinee takes the same level of examination once in every three months.
