CSC-7 Sets Activities for Philippine Civil Service Anniversary
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) here has set up several activities in preparation for the celebration of the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.
CSC-7 Regional Director Editha Luzano said this will be a month-long celebration nationwide.
Themed “Lingkod Bayani: Maka-diyos, Makatao, Makabayan,” this year’s celebration is meant to remind public servants the important role of exemplifying love of God and country, building a Citizen-centric government, and promoting malasakit in the public service to the Filipino people.
“We encourage and call all civil servants to actively participate the month-long activities and we also request all civil servants to be the role model and serve with a sense of maka-diyos, makatao and makabayan,” Luzano said
Activities set for in Central Visayas for Philippine Civil Service Anniversary this year include 100% display of Anniversary Banner in all government offices‘ façade from September 1-30 and from September 1-15 there will be a special treat for government workers at SM.
On September 1, a Citation and One Time Financial Assistance worth Php100,000.00 will be given to the parents of the late PO2 Rey Anthony V. Nazareno. The late Nazareno, who died in an encounter with Abu Sayyaf terrorists in Bohol last year, is also the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani Awardee.
Kick off activity will be on September 1, with the 7th CSC RO VII Fun Run in partnership with Mega Cebu which start at UP Cebu at 5:00 a.m. Registration fee for the Fun Run is at P350 for 4k category and P400 for 7k category.
Proceeds of the mentioned activity will go to the Pundong Pamana Lingkod Bayani Program which honors public servants who died in the line of duty, with the other families receiving a Plaque of Recognition, Scholarship Grants to the Awardees immediate family members and one-time financial assistance of P100,000.00.
On Sept. 3 a Unified Flag Raising will be held at Ecotech Grounds in Lahug Cebu City with government agencies in the government center and neighboring areas.
September 13 marks the Regional Awarding Rites for Presidential Lingkod Bayan; CSC Pag-asa Awardee; and Dangal ng Bayan.
A coastal clean-up was set last August 15 and on September 19, both activities spearheaded by the Philippine Civil Service Commission. (Ays/PIA7)
