CSBT Implements Ticketing System
The Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) has implemented the ticketing system on passengers who will travel to their respective towns this coming All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day on November 1 and 2.
CSBT implemented the said system on Tuesday afternoon, October 29, meaning non-ticket holders will not be allowed to stay inside the terminal premises.
Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia said the implementation of the ticketing system is for security purposes.
CSBT has set up ticketing booths at Entrance 2 where passengers can buy and acquire tickets.
Oscar (not his real name), however, expressed his confusion on the said ticketing system.
“Medyo naglibog ko kay ako nisakay ko ganina ug bus gikan sa south bus pero ang konduktor raman gihapon ga kolekta ug plete sulod sa bus. Libog siguro kay bag.o paman pero sa akong opinion lang mas safe ug han-ay siya nga sistema (I am a bit confused because the collector still collected our fares inside the bus. It may be confusing considering it was not practiced often but to my opinion the ticketing system is safer and more convenient),” Oscar said.
The CSBT management also revealed that the terminal is in need of additional buses as soon as today, October 30.
Carmen Quijano, CSBT Manager said that they will request additional buses from different Local Government Units (LGUs) in the southern part of the province to fetch their residents from the said terminal. Senior citizens, Persons with Disability and pregnant women will be give priority. (MLC)
