CSBT Earned P756k on Holy Week
The Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) earned around P756,000 during the Holy Week last month.
CSBT operations manager Jonathan Tumulak said that this year’s amount is higher than last year.
It was known that they only generated P739,550 in the same period last year.
Tumulak said the income generated was from departure and arrival fees from bus operators.
Each bus pays P50 every arrival and another P150 every departure.
Based on the record shown by the CSBT, there were 422,460 passengers during the observance of Holy Week.
Passengers who were transported by the buses deployed by the cities of Naga and Carcar and the towns of Dumanjug, Oslob and Minglanilla were not included in the number of passengers recorded.
On Easter Sunday, April 21 the CSBT recorded 67,920 passengers making that day to have the highest number of passengers while on Holy Wednesday, April 17 CSBT recorded the highest revenue earning P124,350.
Meanwhile on Good Friday, April 19, record shows that it was the day to have the lowest revenue and the least number of passengers. CSBT only earned P64,300 and recorded 36,420 passengers that day.
As the midterm elections on Monday, May 13 is fast approaching, Tumulak said that they are expecting around 40,000 to flock CSBT. (MLC)
