CREATEPhilippines Empowers Creative Industries in 2025

CREATEPhilippines is advancing its mission to support the country’s creative industries with new initiatives in 2025. Following the success of its 2024 programs, the organization is launching the second phase of its “Navigate the Touring Circuit” project, focusing on the performing arts sector.
This phase begins with a two-day workshop on January 30-31, 2025, at the Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay. The event will provide free training for local performing arts groups, covering topics like pitching to specific audiences and engaging with markets and clients. These sessions aim to prepare participants for local and global opportunities, particularly the CREATEPhilippines X Manila International Performing Arts Market (MIPAM) in 2026.
Additional sessions are planned for March and June 2025. Interested individuals can register at https://createphilippines.com/createph-x-mipam.
Promoting Creative Industries
Organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), CREATEPhilippines highlights Filipino talent through events, training, and its digital platform, www.createphilippines.com. The program focuses on key creative sectors, including Performing Arts, Animation, Game Development, Visual Arts, and Communication Design.
The Performing Arts sector will benefit from capacity-building programs, local promotion efforts, and international market knowledge-sharing. Activities such as the “Value Creation” initiative aim to help performing artists expand their global reach.
The Animation and Game Development sector will gain from partnerships with industry players, international buyer programs, and events like the Philippine Game Development Expo and Animahenasyon.
For Communication Design, CREATEPhilippines will focus on legal practices and connecting creatives with clients. The domestic promotion program, CREATELab, will debut at IFEX Philippines in May and Manila FAME in October.
The Visual Arts sector will emphasize overseas promotion, with Filipino artists featured in events like FOCUS New York and Asia Now Paris.
Building a Stronger Creative Community
CREATEPhilippines is also enhancing its creative directory through incentives for members. Activities include spotlighting local talent, facilitating connections with buyers, and hosting networking events during Philippine Creative Industries Month in September.
