Converge CEO Dennis Uy Wins Entrepreneur Award
Dennis Anthony H. Uy, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Converge Information, Communications, and Technology (Converge ICT) Solutions won the Master Entrepreneur Award by the Asia-Pacific Enterprise Awards 2020 on Friday.
The Msater Entrepreneur Award is given to “outstanding entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exemplary attributes that help them serve as role models for other emerging entrepreneurs.”
Uy’s award came on the heels of the company’s back-to-back Asia CEO awards last October—Entrepreneur of the Year Award and Converge ICT’s Circle of Excellence Technology Company award as well as the company’s appearance as a finalist in the CX Asia Excellence Awards.
Uy also won the Asia CEO’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award back-to-back and Converge ICT’s Circle of Excellence Technology Company award.
“The awards are a testament to the Converge’s philosophy of innovating with purpose,” said Uy.
According to Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA) president Francisco Villanueva, Converge ICT’s success is attributed to their sound business sound fundamentals and business strategy.
Meanwhile, Converge announced that the company will soon meet their goal of the P29 billion capital expenditure (CAPEX) program soon.
“The company plans to deploy about P29 billion, or $600 million of capex over the next 18 months to roll out its network to tens of thousands of communities across the Philippines,” Converge chief financial officer Michael Vukovich said. (ASC)
