Conquer Your Vacation Hangover!
I’m sure a lot of you caught up on much-needed sleep once your final examinations for the first semester were over. Then there would be nights of Breaking Bad binge-watching and the what-not. My school has even extended our vacation period to address the damages caused by the recent 7.2 earthquake last October 15. On the day you return to your usual routine, you might feel the uneasy morning rush because you’re still hung over the fun trips you took or the slew of lazy days you’ve enjoyed. Here are some tips to make your first day back a breeze!
- Create a list of priorities for you to follow on your first day back to school or work.
- Try skipping those long afternoon naps to help you sleep early 2-3 days before going back to work. This helps your circadian rhythm. It give you a heads up when you need to focus on your work or if you need to rest.
- The night before going back, prepare your outfit before hitting the pillow. Set out what accessories you will wear too, so that the process of getting ready in the morning will be a breeze.
- Charge your cellphone and other gadgets you need to bring with you. You wouldn’t want to painfully wait for your battery life to be full before hitting the door, right?
- Keep your keys, wallet, cellphones and your other necessities in one place, and make a habit of keeping them at that place only.
- Prepare your office briefcase or pack your bags with your books and other needed school supplies in the evening. This will save time and the frustration of searching for the things in the morning.
- Set your alarm 15 minutes before the regular time, especially if you have a habit of staggering in the bathroom. This will also give you more time to do the necessities and make you fell less hurried.
