COMELEC to Resume Voter’s Registration on November 6-30

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC)–Compostela Valley will resume the voter’s registration for the 2018 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections on November 6 to 30, 2017.

Guesting on Ka-PIA-han sa Kahanginan radio program over Aksyon ComVal teleradio, Provincial Election Supervisor of COMELEC ComVal Atty. Jennifer Ancla emphasized that the elections was postponed from October 23, 2017 to May 14, 2018, thus the resumption of the voter’s registration.

She said that the municipal COMELEC offices in the province are open from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to cater all application on voter’s registration, except application for transfer.

Ancla added that the applicant must only bring an identification card (ID) with a photo, specifying the applicant’s full name and birthday.

She also said that according to the new SK reformed law of 2015, all residents who are at least 15 years old on May 14, 2018 up to 30 years old are allowed to vote and be registered for the SK election. (PIA11, Michael Uy)
