COMELEC Thanks Police and Army For a Peaceful and Safe Elections
Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is grateful for the cooperation of police in securing election hotspots in the province of Cebu preventing any violence that may occur during the elections.
COMELEC Supervisor, Atty. Jerome Brillantes said that the police presence in the towns of San Fernando, Daanbantayan and Tuburan deterred any potential plans to disturb the peaceful elections.
Brillantes thanked the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for their support in maintaining a peaceful election in the mentioned towns that are considered election hotspots.
Brig. General Debold Sinas Regional Director of Police Regional Office 7 (PRO 7) also thanked the police and the army who rendered their duties during the Midterm National and Local elections.
Police Colonel Manuel Abrugena, director of Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) also thanked and congratulated everyone who helped maintain a safe and peaceful elections.

You are instrumental in upholding the truthfulness and reliability of the outcome of the selection process. A tap on everyone’s shoulders for being heroes of peace and orderly election.
