College Group Wins 6th Dagitab Festival
The Professionals Academy of the Philippines (PAP) won the grand prize in the ritual showdown of the City of Naga’s 6th Dagitab Festival held last Dec. 23.
PAP received P50,000 cash and a trophy, while its runners up, Uling National High School and Tuyan National High School, first and second, respectively, bagged P40,000 and P30,000 apiece. PAP was adjudged champion among the eight participating contingents.
Mayor Valdemar Chiong, in his speech before the showdown began, said the Dagitab Festival “shows how the city has flourished into what it is now.” The word “dagitab” means source of light, wherein the city has been known for because of the power plants in its area.
Meanwhile, Uling National High School bested the eight contingents in the street dancing competition. Tuyan National High School and Balirong National High School came in second and third, respectively.
