Cloudy Skies With Rains In Most Parts Of PHL On Wednesday

Most parts of the country on Wednesday are likely to get rain and the seaboards will continue to be under gale warning due to the presence of strong northeast monsoon or “hangin amihan”, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

PAGASA said northeast monsoon or “hangin amihan” remains the dominant weather system affecting Luzon and Visayas.

For Wednesday forecast, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains over Visayas, Bicol Region and Caraga while cloudy skies with light rains is expected over the regions of Cordillera, Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora, Rizal and Quezon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Mindanao.

It added moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail throughout the entire archipelago with moderate to rough seas.

With the presence of northeast monsoon, the state-run weather bureau also issued gale warning due to strong gale force wind as the sea condition will be rough to very rough and is expected to affect the seaboards of Luzon, Visayas and the eastern seaboard of Mindanao.

“Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves,” it warned. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
