Close to 700K Pfizer Vax Arrive in Country
Almost 700,000 doses of government procured Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine arrived in the country Friday night.
Of the 700,000 doses, 240,000 of which are for pediatrics, while 430,560 doses are for 12 years old and above individuals as the government now includes children and teens in the COVID-19 vaccination program.
As the government continues the fight against the pandemic, infectious diseases expert, Dr. Rontgene Solante expressed his opinion that national vaccination days must be held regularly during a public briefing Friday.
He added that the government should also widen the reach of its vaccination program.
Department of Health data as of March 30 says that the Philippines have so far administered 142,236,006 COVID-19 vaccine doses, with 12,018,418 of the vaccines administered being booster shots. (GFB)
