Close to 3,000 Pass CPA Licensure Exam

A total of 2,967 or 42.7 percent of 6,925 examinees have passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given by the Board of Accountancy in seven cities all over the country this month.

In a statement, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported that the top 10 passers are:

1. Karim Gonzales Abitago, Universal Colleges Of Parañaque, 92.17 percent;

2. Kimjames Sarapanan Manalo, Cor Jesu College (Holy Cross Of Digos), 91.83 percent;

3. Jayvee Faust Bugtai Anga, University Of San Jose-Recoletos, 91.67 percent;

4. Trisha Claire Yu Cabanlit, University Of San Carlos, 91.33 percent;

5. Ervin Michael Bendulo Cavalida, University Of San Carlos, 91.17 percent;

6. Clare Monica Gako Pilapil, University Of San Carlos, 90.83 percent;

7. Blessy Batausa Doylabo, University Of Mindanao-Davao City ; Adrianne Paul Ignacio Fajatin, University Of Manila; Omar Leona Lumagbas, Eastern Visayas State University (For.L.I.T.)Tacloban; Elyzzah Kaye Cadalin Torres, University Of San Jose-Recoletos, 90.67 percent;

8. Shenen Mae Talaboc Goc-Ong, University Of San Jose-Recoletos, 90.33 percent;

9. Patrick Villaluz Cipriano, De La Salle-Araneta University,Inc (Gauf); Joshua Abundo Echivarre, University Of San Carlos; Marc Raphael Nazareno Ong, University Of San Carlos; Kenny Ching Tabiliran, University Of San Jose-Recoletos, 90.17 percent;

10. Sarah Mansueto Balisacan, University Of San Carlos, 90.00.

The top performing schools in the May 2016 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination as per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010 are: De La Salle University-Manila with 58 examiners and 54 have passed with 93.10 percent; University of Santo Tomas, 93, 84, 90.32 percent and University of San Jose-Recoletos, 133, 108, 81.20 percent.

The examinations were held in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi this month.

From Thursday to Friday, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line.

Applicants may visit Official Website of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Manila, Philippines and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, two pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag) and 2 sets of documentary stamps. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The members of the Board of Accountancy who gave the licensure examination are Joel L. Tan-Torres, Chairman; Eliseo A. Aurellado, Gerard B. Sanvictores, Gloria T. Baysa, Concordio S. Quisaot and Samuel B. Padilla.

The PRC added that date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later. (PNA) BNB/FGP/EDS
