Classes in Some Areas in Bulacan and Bataan Suspended on Monday Due to ‘Habagat’
City Of San Fernando, Pampanga — Classes in some areas of the provinces of Bataan and Bulacan were suspended on Monday due to southwest monsoon and low pressure area (LPA) that are expected to bring more rains.
In Bataan, Mayor Liberator Santiago, Jr. declared the suspension of classes in all levels in Abucay town, both in public and private.
Mayor Francis Garcia likewise declared the suspension of classes from pre-school to senior high school in Balanga City.
In Bulacan, classes in levels were suspended both in public and private in Meycauayan City and Marilao town.
Based on the weather advisory issued as of 7 a.m. on Monday, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains affecting some parts of Central Luzon, namely Bulacan, Bataan, Pampanga and Tarlac which may persist for 2-3 hours.
Yellow rainfall warning, on the other hand is up in Zambales where flooding in low-lying areas may prevail.
The weather bureau advised the public and the concerned disaster risk reduction and management councils to take appropriate action and monitor the weather condition in their respective area. (PNA) JMC/ZST
