City To Distribute P6M Barangay Honorarium Monday; Seniors’ Aid Today

It’s a happy day for the barangay officials in Cebu City on Monday.

Each of them will receive their additional honorarium from the Cebu City government and the city would be spending about P6 million for it.

City Treasurer Diwa Cuevas said barangay captains, councilmen, secretaries and treasurers from the city’s 80 barangay will receive their additional honorarium for the third quarter at the Cebu City Social Hall.

The barangay captain would receive P15,000 each while each of the 560 barangay councilmen will also get P9,000 and P6,000 for each of the barangay secretaries and treasurers.

On top of their honorarium in their respective barangays, the barangay captains are given P5,000 additional monthly honorarium from the City Hall, P3,000 to each councilman, and P2,000 to each barangay secretary and treasurer.

However, their honorarium would be deducted 10-percent withholding tax.

Seniors’ Cash Assistance Distributed Today

Meanwhile, the Cebu City government today is distributing the additional P2,000 to each of the close to 60,000 senior citizens in the city.

The city will be spending P113 million for the senior citizens’ cash assistance that will be done in the city’s 80 barangays.

The city earlier warned that those who will fail to get their cash assistance after November 7 will no longer be allowed to get the aid, which will be forfeited in favor of the government.
