City Police Receives 2 Brand-new Cars
With night crimes starting to add up to the Talisay City police’s list of concerns, Mayor Johnny delos Reyes turned over two brand-new cars to help the police in its regular patrolling.
Delos Reyes said the two Toyota Innova should at least aid the city police as they roam around the city streets at night to fight against crimes or during checkpoints which are regularly conducted randomly. The mayor said the vehicles cost the city P2.6 million, but in the name of keeping the peace and order situation of his jurisdiction, the city is willing to shell out even much more.
Acting police chief Supt. Resty Santos, who formally received the two cars, said the new acquisitions would greatly help them especially that the one in their possession now, an old Innova, is about to die like the rest. The city government has also promised to shoulder the gasoline expenses for the two vehicles.
