The head of the City Transport and Traffic Management Office has urged domestic and foreign tourists to maximize the free bus ride offered by the city government for the duration of the Kadayawan 2018.

Dionisio Abude, chief of the CTTMO said the buses take the route with corresponding bus stops on areas where there are related Kadayawan activities.

He said the buses are deployed from one mall to another passing to the parks and venues of the Kadayawan events.

“The buses will proceed from SM Lanang to SM Matina passing to the different malls at JP Laurel Avenue, left turn towards the Ramon Magsaysay Park where the Kadayawan Village is located then move towards Roxas Avenue, Ponciano Reyes Street, right turn towards the Pasalubong Center and the People’s Park at Palma Gil Street, then move towards Pelayo Street stopping at the back of the City Hall, for the Kadayawan activities at the San Pedro Square, then move towards SM City in Matina via the Ecoland Drive and Quimpo Boulevard,” Abude said.

He said in every bus there will be personnel from the police and the CTTMO who will provide assistance to the commuters on board.

Abude said that personnel from the City Environment and Natural Resources will clean the buses in every end point at the SM Lanang and the SM Matina to ensure cleanliness within the buses.

He said from the Quimpo Boulevard, the buses will take a right turn towards CM Recto, all the way to the JP Laurel Avenue in Lanang towards the SMX.

Abude said the routes will be changed on August 18 and 19 when the buses will take the loop routes.

“Meaning from SM Lanang the buses will proceed towards JP Laurel Avenue, right turn towards Quirino Avenue and McArthur Highway, then left turn to Quimpo Avenue towards SM City, from SM City, the buses will take the route towards Quimpo and Quezon Boulevards proceeding towards Cabaguio Avenue and then right turn towards the SMX in Lanang,” he said.
