“City Hall At Your Doorstep” Set In 2 Villages This Week

At least another two barangays will benefit from the free services of the Cebu City Government through the ‘City Hall at Your Doorstep’ program of Mayor Michael Rama.

On February 18 Thursday, the activity will be held in Sitio Lower Laguerta in Barangay Lahug and on February 19 Friday it will be conducted in Barangay Capitol Site.

Among the services to be offered are medical and dental consultation with free medicines, random blood sugar testing, blood typing, seedling distribution, anti-rabies vaccination, feeding for children, and consultation and processing of the birth, marriage and death certificates.

Other services that will be offered are repair and installation of street lights and artesian wells, consultation on traffic issues and concerns, consultations on the ‘Let there be light program’ and urban poor related issues, free hair cutting, pruning and trimming of trees, consultation on drug related issues, legal services, and Cedula issuance, among several others.

The mayor aims to bring the services of the 22 departments comprising the city government closer to the people and avail it for free sans going to the Cebu City Hall.

The city’s community outreach program which was launched in the year 2010 has become institutionalized and regularly conducted weekly.

It will kick off with a Holy Mass at 8 o’clock in the morning and will end until everyone will be served. (Cebu City Public Information Office PIO/Greggy Jiggs P. Senados)
