CESET Catches Boxer Urinating in Public
Members of the Cebu City Environmental Sanitation Enforcement Team (CESET) on Wednesday apprehended Boholano boxer Rey “Boom-Boom” Bautista for urinating in a public place in violation of City Ordinance 1361.
CESET head Grace Luardo said Boom-Boom was caught by CESET enforcer Roberto Minguito while on the act of urinating along the
road at the North Reclamation Area (NRA).
Luardo said her personnel recognized Boom-Boom being a boxing fan, but because the latter committed a violation CESET
enforcer has nothing to do but to apprehend the boxer.
“Nasuko lagi kuno si Boom-Boom kay dili magpa-isyu og citation ticket apan unsaon nga nakasupak man siya sa balaod,” Luardo said.
Luardo said she will give Boom-Boom seven days to settle his obligation by paying P500 fine for violating City Ordinance 1361 or the Anti-Littering Ordinance of Cebu City.
Such ordinance also penalizes spitting in public places or throwing of mere cigarette butt and candy wrappers in public places.
If Boom-Boom will not settle his obligation after the lapse of the seven-day reglementary period, CESET will be forced to file
a case against him in proper court.
Bautista used to be the WBO International featherweight champion, but he was defeated by Jose Ramirez on April 20, 2013 in a split decision.
