Cebu’s Biggest Construction Technology Exhibition Returns This June

Taking advantage of the opportunity in the growing construction industry, Philconstruct Events, Exhibitions and Conferences Corporation (PEECC) and Cebu Contractors Association Inc. (CCA), together with the Philippine Constructors Association Inc. (PCA) and the Philippine Society of Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigerating Engineers, announced the fifth year of the biggest construction and most anticipated show in the Visayas region – PHILCONSTRUCT VISAYAS, to be held coinciding with HVAC/R VISAYAS.

Set to open on June 5, these back-to-back industry events will be open to visitors from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm on its first two days and from 10:30 am to 5:00pm on June 7 at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

During its launch and press conference, the organizers treated the press to a scoop of new event highlights as the event chairman Bernard Vonn Sia proudly revealed impressive facts on this show.

Sia shared in a press statement, “You know, we’ve been doing this show for five years but the excitement is always there. There is always something new to look forward to and something that’s never been done before by any other trade show in Cebu. We made sure that PHILCONSTRUCT VISAYAS 2014 bring you a better and much grander trade show than last year.

We are not only highlighting an astounding array of the latest equipments and technologies including heavy machinery, scaffolding, plumbing, concrete, ceramics and the like, we are also bringing other event activities to the next level, all to serve our more than 225 exhibitors and 8,000 plus expected visitors.”

Aside from the exhibit itself, Sia also mentioned interesting highlights to look forward to for this year. One is the Interior Designers’ Pavilion by the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers – Cebu Chapter showcasing the talents of young interior designers in the region. Another is the Architects’ Pavilion of the United Architects of the Philippines – District C1 ready to cater to the needs of professionals who will be visiting the show.

“Not only that, this is the only event that truly invests in the future of the industry by cultivating skills, featuring Technoforum Visayas, a very highly informative technical seminar bringing together industry experts and key players to share their expertise and knowledge in the construction sector,” added Peter Paul Dy, Jr., President of the Cebu Contractors Association.

This seminar series includes topics such as Transition Management, Strategic Thinking Process, Risk Management, Fleet Management Seminar, Building Emergency Evacuation Plan, AFTA 2015: ASEAN Economic Community Forum to name a few.

There will also be an Innovation Forum where participants of PHILCONSTRUCT Visayas will get a chance to check out new and exciting technologies, industry information, business developments all before they hit the market.
