In the latest alert level systems announced for June 1 to June 15, Cebu’s “big three cities” remain under Alert Level 1, while Cebu Province is under Alert Level 2.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) approved the latest alert level classifications in the country from June 1 to June 15.

Cebu City, Mandaue City, and Lapu-Lapu City will remain under Alert Level 1.

Meanwhile, Cebu Province will be under Alert Level 2 from June 1 to June 15.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), during Alert Level 1 all intrazonal travel is allowed without restrictions while business establishments can now operate at full capacity.

Meanwhile, during Alert Level 2 intrazonal travel is allowed but with reasonable restrictions imposed by LGUs. Casinos, horse racing, cockfighting and operation of cockpits, lottery and betting shops, and other gaming establishments are not allowed to operate under Alert Level 2 unless authorized by the IATF or the Office of the President.

Additionally, indoor establishments will have a capacity of 50% while outdoor venues or activities can cater only 70% of their full capacity — employees of those said establishments or organizers are required to be fully vaccinated.

Moreover, other areas in Central Visayas, such as Siquijor will be under Alert Level 1, while Bohol and Negros Oriental will be under Alert Level 2.

As of May 22, there are 4,685,011 fully vaccinated individuals in total, this includes 17,955 who were vaccinated from May 16 to May 22.

Meanwhile, there were 12,285 additional people who got booster shots from May 16 to May 22, bringing the total to 658,862. (ASC)
