Cebuana Crowns as Miss Asia-USA 2019
Filipinos indeed, excel in every aspect. Sports, talent, music, films, pageant, you name it, Filipinos got it.
Diane “Didi” Cañeda, who is a native of Talisay City in Cebu, was crowned as Miss Asia-USA 2019 outperforming other candidates and making her the 31st Miss Asia-USA.
The pageant and coronation was held in California, USA last November 16, 2019.
“I’m super shock. I wasn’t expecting anything,” said Cañeda in an exclusive Facebook Messenger interview with MCN.
Cañeda was chosen and crowned as Miss Congeniality, Miss Friendship, Miss Popularity, People’s Choice Award, Best in Swimsuit and Best in Evening Gown.
“Being the winner I believe it will make me grow as a person, but it won’t change my values and moral that I have for many years,” Cañeda added.
Cañeda grew up as a swimmer representing Cebu both in national and international levels.
She graduated Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Cebu and now she operates Vertex Fitness Company in Orange County, California.
Aside from being a model in Los Angeles, she is also a professional belly dancer and a wellness and fitness coach.
Cañeda decided to move to the United States to pursue her passion for fitness and dancing. She believes that dance fitness can spread positivity and joy.
Now, she has her own business providing wellness program to everyone. She also revealed that clients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease have a special place in her heart.
Cañeda is also part of the No-Isolation Movement for High school, preventing kids to suffer from depression.
She also used her passion for fitness to lead and raise funds and awareness in various charities such as the American Cancer Society and National Prevention for Suicidal. (MLC)
