Cebu Town has New Police Chief
Former Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) head Chief Inspector Rolan Aliser was appointed as the new police chief in Dalaguete, Cebu on Monday.
Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) spokesperson Superintendent Virgilio Bayon-on said Aliser replaced Senior Insp. Verminio Noserale, who was recalled to the CPPO headquarters.
Bayon-on said newly-installed CPPO Director Edgar Allan Okubo is currently going around Cebu Province checking police stations in the different municipalities, particularly those which are not performing quite well.
So far, Okubo inspected the police stations in Dalaguete, Argao, and Sibonga towns on Monday.
Meanwhile, Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch (IDMB) chief Supt. Emerson Dante was also named as the new deputy provincial director for operations.
Dante replaced fellow Supt. Ryan Manongdo, who was likewise appointed deputy commander of the Public Safety Company in Iloilo.
The CPPO has yet to name Dante’s replacement as Provincial IDMB chief. (PNA)
