Cebu Road Rage Suspect’s Family Offers PHP300,000 for Full Video of Incident
The family of David Lim Jr., the suspect in a road rage case in Cebu City, on Wednesday offered PHP300,000 to anyone who can provide a full video of the incident.
Lawyer Orlando Salatandre Jr., counsel of road rage suspect David Chua Lim Jr., revealed this to reporters on Wednesday.
The incident happened at 3 a.m. on Sunday at F. Sotto Drive, Cebu City.
Lim, who was accused of shooting and wounding nurse Ephraim Nunal, surrendered to Chief Supt. Noli Talino, Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 director, at 2 a.m. on Tuesday.
He was charged with frustrated murder before the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office.
Salatandre said the video that was uploaded on social media showed only a portion of the incident.
Salatandre said he will withdraw as Lim’s counsel if the complainant’s accusation is true.
Lim shot Nuñal with a .22 caliber pistol after being engaged in a verbal fight.
Lim claimed he acted in self-defense when he saw Nuñal’s companions getting out of their vehicle.
Lim Jr. is the son of David Lim Sr., who figured in a road accident that killed a fish dealer along Archbishop Reyes Ave. in Cebu City last March 4.
He is also the nephew of businessman Peter Lim, who was tagged as drug lord by President Rodrigo Duterte. (PNA)EB/EDS
